Of Sunrises and Sand

If you asked me to define the word “awe”, I would use a photo like this one:

Sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean and sand dunes

It was a bit windy but very beautiful and peaceful out at the ocean the morning I took these photos. Speaking of the photos, they just don't do this amazing sight justice! Here are a few more from before the sun actually rose:

I’m currently enjoying some time at the ocean with my family and grandparents. Times like this provide so much opportunity for thoughts and reflections, so be prepared for some posts to come! :) While I’m at it, here are a few more photos:

Peaceful walk through a wooded area on my way home from watching the sunrise
My view during a bike ride on the beach
Looking toward the sand dunes from the ocean
Me on a nature walk we took yesterday
About five feet away from a baby alligator!

Beautiful! I could feel that morning feeling of awe that your pictures have in them. And I understand about the pictures not doing justice...God's creation is so amazing!

Thank you, Theresa! I've been out to 2 sunrises since this one and each one is so different, but equally amazing. God created such variety for us to enjoy!
