With my older sister coming home from Guatemala late
tomorrow night (I’m SO excited!) and my violin recital coming up a week from
today, this blog will be quiet for the next week, and probably a bit after that.
But for today, I thought I’d share some old “news” that I thought you might
enjoy – our trip to the zoo last month with two other families from our church.
The zoo that we went to is a little bit different
from the “typical” zoo in that its animals were placed in areas as close to
their natural habitat as possible. The areas were often quite large, so we
couldn’t always see the animals if they happened to be at the other end of
their area. We did get to see most of the animals, though. In fact, it was so much fun that we only go to see the Africa section. As
we have a year-long membership now, we plan to go back to see the North
America section soon. Below I have included a few of my favorite photos, which is just a sampling of what we saw.

was thankful for the crutches that I borrowed and I still had a
