In Good Company

"Do not be deceived: bad company corrupts good morals."
1 Corinthians 15:33

This verse is a good warning for all of us, young and old alike. Not just bad friends can corrupt us but even bad company. If we are around people or listen to people who are bad we will be corrupted. But what exactly defines "bad company"? I think the most obvious case would be someone who disobeys God or His Word. Anything from outright stealing, lying, etc. to things like "white lies", gossip, or hatred. But there are other things, too, unseen unknown attitudes that we need to always be watching for. We must be careful who we are with. The more time we spend with the perfect example, God Himself, the more our character and life will be like His.

Those of us who have children need to remember this, and to watch the comapny our children keep.
