We all know that in the Old Testament, prophets prophesied about Jesus, while prophesying about present day cities and people. But did you know that that was also the case in Psalms? Psalm 89 is one of those. In Psalm 89, God is talking to and about David, and yet when we look closer, it seems that he very well could be talking about Jesus! Here are 4 examples of verses from Psalm 89 and then a verse from the New Testament that is talking about Jesus.
Hebrews 2:8 – “YOU HAVE PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET.” For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him.
Psalm 89:32 – Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
