Bibles

I have been thinking a lot recently about smuggling Bibles (more on why later) and about those who treasure even one page of the Bible. I just wanted to remind us all to be more thankful for our Bibles!

Tea Party

Having a tea party with her granddaughters is a tradition that my Grandma started before I can remember. Since we moved away and she hasn’t been able to have one with us for a few years, we planned one for this trip. We had chocolate mousse, blueberry scones, and lemon squares and talked about the origin of tea, what tea parties in China are like, the family history of certain dishes that we were using, the current projects we are working on, and more!

Weekend in Maine

When we planned to come to Vermont we hadn’t included a trip to Maine, but it ended up working out for us to go see some friends up there this past weekend. The trip felt way too short, but we were very glad to visit some families that we haven’t seen for a few years!

Evening with Cousins

This evening we went down the lane to my uncle’s house and had supper with them. After supper, all of us cousins got out our instruments and made music for our parents and grandparents. We had never played together before, but it worked out very well and we had a wonderful time!

Shopping

Last Friday all of us ladies went to the new Hobby Lobby in town. We have a few in North Carolina, but there hadn’t been one in Vermont before and my Grandma was very happy to see it! Earlier today I dropped my Grandma off at a doctor’s appointment and then went grocery shopping. It felt a bit like I was back in NC when I went to the new Aldi’s – something else that we have in NC that is new to my Grandparents here.

Sounds like you are all having a wonderful visit! Your tea party looked really yummy :).
It was neat to see you at Aldis.
I first met your Mom and some of you girls at the old Hannaford - the new Hobby Lobby.
Praying you all have a safe trip home next week.

Your tea party sounds like fun.:)
Did you like the Hobby Lobby? I haven't been to it yet but really want to go. I went to a Hobby Lobby down in TN in the fall and it was a lot of fun.
I was so excited when I saw one was coming in here.

Have a great rest of your trip. I have really been enjoying your post.:)

Yes, Mrs. A, we are having a very wonderful visit! I can't believe we are going home in just a couple days . . .

I was so glad to see you at Aldi's, as well! Although I don't remember meeting you at the old Hannaford, I do remember when it was a Hannaford!

Thank you for your prayers!

I do like the Hobby Lobby, Salinn. It seems like JoAnns and Michaels don't have the best array of items for making cards, but we have been very happy with what we've found at Hobby Lobby. Besides, I like knowing that I am supporting Christians who are willing to stand up for what they believe!

Thank you; we've had a wonderful trip and I have enjoyed "journaling" it on my blog :).
